Hand Made gift of LOVE

Dan and I get the stuff we want throughout the year and say it's for Christmas. So yesterday Orion, my 3 yr old, was the one to rip open the gifts. I did however make something for Dan. He is such an amazing husband and father and I wanted him to know how much that means to us.Here is his gift:

 This side had to do with him in his role as a father. Orion absolutely adores Dan and everything he does. The quote says
"The greatest gift I ever had
Came from God,I call him DAD!"

This side is about him as a husband. I am truly blessed to have him as mine. The quote for this side is:

I hope that you all have had a great Christmas and are getting geared up for the New Year! We spent Christmas Eve outside in the sun. We took a walk down Cannery Row and then went to the Dennis the Menace Park. It was so beautiful here!

Orion got tons of presents today! He loved every minute of ripping them open!

So, if you know me you know I LOVE to read! I'm a big fan of Nicholas Sparks, James Patterson, and Jodi Picoult. A few days ago I got a package in the mail from my mother-in-law. Inside were two books with a note saying "I think you'll enjoy these. Read this one first ( Before the Storm). Love you,Mom."   I read this book and fell in love!! Diane Chamberlain did an amazing job with this book. So moving in many different ways and also had that "OMG" factor. The book involved a child with fetal alcohol syndrome. The mom of this child has gone to great lengths to do what's best for him. Postpartum depression is also addressed. I can't wait to read the next book that she sent. I have a feeling I'm going to be getting a lot more of her books! Happy Reading everyone!

My Baby's 3!!

I can't believe that my little boy is now three years old! Man time has flown by.  He has become such a little man. He is 34 pounds and 41 inches tall! Such a big guy.  He was so excited that it was his birthday. Loved opening his gifts and blowing out his candles,however he wouldn't eat any of his cake. It's crazy how much love you can have for someone! Happy Birthday Orion! Mommy and Daddy love you very much!

He really enjoyed ripping open that wrapping paper!

Lazy Morning

I decided to start this blog to share with family and friends (and anyone else who might enjoy) my life! I am a mother, military wife, and aspiring photographer. 
This morning my husband is driving friends to the airport and me and my son, Orion, are just hanging out in our pj's. I always seem to get pictures of big events but not just hanging out. Orion got up at 5:30 this morning so I knew we wouldn't be doing much. I was watching him play and thought I should capture these moments as well as the big ones.
